President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Mayor of Istanbul Kadir Topbaş during his working trip to the Turkish Republic.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Kadir Topbaş for attention paid to Tatars living in Istanbul. The Tatar national holiday Sabantui was celebrated in the big Turkish city in 2012, and the monument to the Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai was unveiled in the park named after Gabdulla Tukai.
The Tatarstan President invited Mayor of the Turkish city to a solemn opening of the “Istanbul” square in Kazan in June 2013.
Kadir Topbaş thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the visit. He reminded that in 2014 Kazan would have the status of cultural capital of the Turkic world, whereas Istanbul was the cultural capital of Europe in 2010. The Turkish leadership is ready to share their experience in organizing such events with Kazan colleagues.
Rustam Minnikhanov met with President of Efes group Alejandro Jimenez, Board Chairman of Koç Holding Mustafa Koç, Board Chairman of Renaissance Holding Erman Ilıcak, Director General of OOO “Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry” Onur Guven.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
