Igor Shuvalov: “Whole Russia must be presented at Universiade in Kazan”

Representatives of all Russian regions should be present at the World summer Universiade in Kazan, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Igor Shuvalov at the session of Universiade organizing committee in Moscow.
The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of communications Nikolay Nikiforov, Russian Minister of sport Vitaly Mutko, Secretary General of the Russian Olympic Committee Marat Bariev, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, chief executives of Universiade Executive Office Vladimir Leonov, representatives of federal and regional agencies participated in session at the RF Government house.
Russian Minister of sport Vitaly Mutko reported on preparation for the Games. He said that preparation for Universiade was entering its final stage. He informed about main dates of the Games. By May 15, 2013 all sports objects must be passed to Universiade Executive Office.
Universiade Village will be opened on June 29. On June 29-30 the Russian team will be accommodated on the territory of the Village. Sport competitions will start on July 5. The official opening ceremony will be held on July 6. Last competitions, the Closing Ceremony will be held on July 17.
According to Russian Minister of sport, 10 thousand sportsmen will participate in Universiade. 32 sports objects will be used for holding main events, other 17 – for trainings.
Vitaly Mutko said that the task was set for all Russian sports federations to train teams and actively participate in preparation of competitions and referee's board.
First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Igor Shuvalov offered to organise the visit of Russian students to Universiade in Kazan. He emphasized the importance of involving students for competitions and Universiade torch relay.
The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov reported on preparation for Universiade in republic. He informed that construction of the football stadium for 45 000 seats, the main sports object of the Games, will be finished by March, 1.
Construction of new terminal of the airport has been finished, reconstruction of the old terminal has started. The railway branch from the airport to the railway station is ready. Construction of 8 of 11 transport junctions has completed.
Rustam Minnikhanov also told about solving problems of ensuring safety, providing catering and medical services.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
