New food production complex of Universiade to render catering services for Kazan schools and hospitals

Modern food production complex being constructed in Kazan for rendering catering services during the World student games 2013 should be actively used after Universiade for social needs, the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at the field meeting on issues of providing catering services during the Games.
The meeting took place in new department of the complex with participation of the Kazan Myor Ilsur Metshin, Minister of construction, architecture, housing and communal services Irek Faizullin, Chief Executive of Universiade Executive Office Vladimir Leonov.
New food production complex is being established at production facilities of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise “The Department of foodstuff and social catering of Kazan”. It will be the central base for producing and keeping all foodstuffs during the summer student Games.
The Tatarstan President inspected new departments and held a meeting on issues of providing catering services to Universiade participants. He highly estimated the complex and urged to use it actively for social needs.
Rustam Minnikhanov supposes that the complex can provide high-quality and diverse catering services for the Republican clinical hospital, Children’s Republican clinical hospital, emergency hospital, and other institutions.
Universiade catering concept also implies establishment of canteens on the territory of Universiade Village with total are of 12600 m².
Summarizing the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov requested relevant ministries and agencies to consider items of the Universiade catering concept in details in the nearest time.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
