Tatneft to open scientific and technical center in Skolkovo

A solemn ceremony of signing the Agreement on establishment and location of Tatneft scientific and technical center in Skolkovo was held in Skolkovo Technopark on December 19. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Skolkovo Fund Viktor Veksleberg and Director General of OJSC Tatneft Shafagat Takhautdinov participated in the ceremony.
Viktor Veksleberg said that the event was very important for Skolkovo. The prehistory of this event is rooted in the history of Tatneft that realized first serious projects in the Volga region and started exploring Siberian territory. Viktor Veksleberg who started his scientific activity in the sphere of oil engineering in Bugulma and Almetievsk said that the competence of Tatarstan oil industry workers and level of technologies meet high international standards and enable supporting high level of field development.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that science is the key tool for maintaining positions for Tatneft. “Oil production is increasing today,” he said.
Shafagat Takhautdinov mentioned that by and large Tataneft had produced 3,1 bln tons of oil.
Company’s scientific and technical potential enabled increasing annual oil production within the last 10 years for 1,5 mln tons and has become widely spread in Russian regions.
On 10 March, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the development of the national Max messenger in Tatarstan and held in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communication of the republic Ilya Nachvin informed that according to the data of March 2026 about 1.5m residents of Tatarstan use domestic Max messenger.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
