Awards presented to winners of the contest “Leader of the year 2012” in Kazan

Traditional ceremony of awarding winners of the contest “Leader of the year 2012” took place in Kazan today. The Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, PM Ildar Khalikov participated in the ceremony.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the event and said that 2012 was a rather successful year for the republican economy.
“Today we are expressing words of gratitude to our leaders. I would like to thank them and their employees for contribution to our republic’s and country’s economy,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. He emphasized great contribution of chief executives of major budget revenue generating enterprises - Shafagat Takhautdinov, Albert Shigabutdinov, Sergei Kogogin, Vladimir Busygin, Rafkat Kantyukov.
The Tatarstan President presented the Order of friendship to Director General of OOO “Gasprom Transgas Kazan” Rafkat Kantyukov, the medal “For Valorous Labour” to Deputy Director General of OAO “Tatavtodor” Ildus Faskhutdinov.
According to Chairman of the contest commission Ildar Khalikov, every year choosing winners is becoming a more difficult task. He said that the contest “Leader of the year” is the image of Tatarstan economy.
Tatarstan’s PM also noted an important social mission of major Tatarstan enterprises.
On behalf of the Tatarstan Government Ildar Khalikov thanked leaders for work and presented awards to winners of the contest “Leader of the year 2012”.
State Counselor and Chairman of the Board of guardians of “Renaissance” Fund Mintimer Shaimiev presented Letters of gratitude and first copies of the third volume of the Book of philanthropists to executives of companies who participated in realization of the project “Cultural heritage of Tatarstan: ancient town of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk”.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
