Rustam Minnikhanov: “Due to work of the RT Ministry of the interior Tatarstan’s main achievement is stability”

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted the contribution of Tatarstan’s law enforcement bodies to maintenance of stability and social-economic development at the session of the RT Ministry of the interior dedicated to results of the ministry’s activity in 2012.
RF Deputy Minister of the interior Igor Zubov, Tatarstan’s Deputy PM Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan’s Prosecutor Kafil Amirov, Deputy Chairman of the RT State Council Aleksandr Gusev and other officials participated in the event.
Head of the RT Ministry of the interior Artem Khokhorin summarized the ministry’s activity. He informed that more than 51 thousand crimes had been registered. The number of grave and gravest crimes has decreased by 11 percent.
The interior bodies have revealed 670 crimes committed by members of organized crime units. Tatarstan’s Prosecutor Kafil Amirov reported about shortcomings in work of the RT Ministry of the interior revealed by prosecution bodies. 3700 employees were punished for different violations in 2012.
RF Deputy Minister of the interior Igor Zubov called the RT Ministry of the interior one of the most advanced divisions in Russia. He was satisfied with positive changes in the ministry’s activity. At the same time, executives of the republican ministry must pay attention to negative tendencies connected with increased activity of organized extremist crime units.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov positively estimated activity of the RT Ministry of the interior. He thanked Russian Ministry of the interior for enormous work on technical upgrade of the ministry, funds allocated within the confines of preparation for Universiade and implementation of police reforms.
Rustam Minnikhanov focused on the problem related to the shortage of policemen after reduction of the interior bodies.
According to the RT President, main task faced by republic in 2013 is proper holding of the World summer Universiade.
Finally, Rustam Minnikhanov handed several state awards to employees of the RT Ministry of the interior.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
