Rustam Minnikhanov holds business meetings and negotiations in Davos

President of the Republic of Tatarstan held several meetings and negotiations during his stay in Davos (Switzerland) on January 22-23.
To the point, President of Tatarstan is in Davos to participate in opening of the World economic forum in Davos on the official Russian delegation led by Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.
Expansion of participation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in projects aimed at development of Tatarstan’s infrastructure, realization of investment projects in the sphere of industry, energy saving, housing and utility services, support of small and medium-size business were discussed at a meeting between Rustam Minnikhanov and Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Alain Pilloux. The Tatarstan President invited Alain Pilloux to visit Tatarstan at the head of business mission.
Moreover, Rustam Minnikhanov discussed realization of innovative lighting technology projects and Philips solutions in the sphere of equipping heath care objects, location of Philips assembly production and research center in Tatarstan with Philips Electronics CEO for interaction with government authorities Harry Hendrix.
The meeting with Dow Chemical executive Vice-President in Europe, Middle East, and Africa Heinz Haller was dedicated to issues of company’s investments in projects on the territory of SEZ “Alabuga”, development of construction and transport infrastructure, oil and gas sector, projects in the sphere of composite materials production.
Rustam Minnikhanov also met with Vice-chairman of subdivision of banking investment services Barclays Capital and Chairman of Meridian Capital Marc Holtzman.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
