Rustam Minnikhanov: "The win of “KAMAZ-Master” in Dakar rally is a success of whole country"

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted great significance of “KAMAZ-Master” win in Dakar-2013 rally for whole Russia at a solemn ceremony of honouring the winners at the Kazan Kremlin.
“KAMAZ-Master” teams took first three places at the 34th Dakar rally raid.
“Our team has participated in Dakar rally 22 times and won 11 times. Every win is a great work of those people sitting in cabs and producing vehicles,” Rustam Minnikhanov said. Rustam Minnikhanov noted high level of competition in the truck category. “KAMAZ results show that the team work is also very important, not only skills of drivers,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
President of Tatarstan thanked KAMAZ Director General Sergei Kogogin, Head of the team Vladimir Chagin. He expressed hope that “KAMAZ-Master” will strive for new wins.
President of Tatarstan presented awards to sportsmen. Medals “For valorous labour” were handed to members of racing crews. The title “Honoured worker of transport of the Republic of Tatarstan” was given to seven-time Dakar champion, Head of the team Vladimir Chagin.
Vladimir Chagin thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for support.
KAMAZ Director General Sergei Kogogin addressed President of Tatarstan with words of gratitude and congratulated the team.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
