Sergei Shoigu holds meeting on execution of state defence order and purchasing of light helicopters

In accordance with major program aimed at upgrading military air forces in the Russian Federation, about two thousand new air complexes, including 985 helicopters will be purchased by 2020.
Such information was given by the Russian Minister of defence Sergei Shoigu in Kazan at a meeting concerning execution of state defence order and purchasing of light helicopters.
Sergei Shoigu noted that the government had allocated considerable funds for the program realisation.
The meeting was held in administrative building of OAO “Kazan helicopters” with participation of the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, President of OAO “United aircraft corporation” Mikhail Pogosyan, Director General of OAO “Russian helicopters” Dmitry Petrov.
Issues of operation of purchased helicopters, quality of produce and extra demand for new helicopters were discussed at the meeting.
The Russian Minister of defence said that starting from 2013 it was planned to conclude contracts of full life circle for maintenance, repair and utilization of armory and military equipment.
President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that a lot of enterprises of defence and industrial complex were located in republic. Tatarstan is one of major suppliers of produce for needs of the Russian Ministry of defence, he said. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Kazan helicopter plant is efficiently working nowadays.

On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
