Ildar Khalikov: “People expect more from educational sphere”

“Tasks set before educational sphere in 2012 have been completely fulfilled. However, new results should be achieved in 2013,” Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov said a final session of the Ministry of education and science in Naberezhnye Chelny.
Tatarstan’s Minister of education and science Engel Fattakhov reported on results of 2012 and set the objectives for 2013. Firstly, he noted that 2012 ended in an important event - the “Law of the Russian Federation on Education” was enacted. Thus, new republican law “on education” must be enacted in Tatarstan in 2013.
Among tasks faced by pre-school education Engel Fattakhov highlighted development of language teaching at kindergartens.
As for general education, overall renovation of schools was the most important event.
Engel Fattakhov told about ministry’s plans on adopting new teaching technologies based on joint activity of students and teachers as equal partners. The program of cooperation with a Singapore company EduCare will start in 2013. Thirty thousand Tatarstan teachers will learn about new teaching methods.
According to Engel Fattakhov, revision of all programs of the Tatar language teaching must be finished by the beginning of new academic year. Besides, conditions for disabled children must be provided at schools.
Tatarstan’s Minister of education and science continued that the ministry is responsible for professional education, and faces mission on modernization of professional education system.
Ildar Khalikov summed up results of the session. He said that profession help people self-actualize and make a secured family.
Ildar Khalikov emphasized importance of pre-school education and called the ministry of education to pay more attention to this sphere.
By the way, Tatarstan leadership was not completely satisfied with use of information technologies.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
