Mintimer Shaimiev meets with delegation of St.Petersburg and Leningrad region

Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev met with delegation of St.Petersburg and the Leningrad region led by deputy of Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad region Ildar Gilyazov at the Kazan Kremlin.
The delegation consists of veterans of Great Patriotic War, heads of Tatar associations of the Leningrad region, members of public organisations of war and military service veterans.
They arrived in Kazan especially before celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day in order to pass to Tatarstan leadership the copy of the monument bust to Musa Dzhalil, Hero of the Soviet Union, poet and soldier, participant of Lyubansk offensive operation in the Leningrad region. The monument was unveiled on November 9, 2012 in Tosno town with participation of Tatarstan Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin. Funds for the monument were collected by Tatar activists of St.Petersburg and the Leningrad region by initiative of permanent representation of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Guests brought another present – the sealed shell case from the place where Musa Dzhalil was injured and captured. Tomorrow at the Kazan City Hall it will be given to Museum of Great Patriotic War during celebrations dated to Defender of the Fatherland Day.
Today the delegation was met by Aide to Tatarstan President for social issues, CEO of “Renaissance” Foundation Tatyana Larionova who presented the historical and cultural project of federal significance “Cultural heritage: ancient city of Bolgar and island town of Sviyazhsk”.
Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev thanked members of the delegation for supporting Tatar communities in the region and attention paid to Tatarstan.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
