Ildar Khalikov: “Investments make up Tatarstan’s future”

On February 25, a final session of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency with participation of Tatarstan’s Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov was held within the framework of Kama investment forum in Naberezhnye Chelny IT-park.
Chief executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov reported on activity of the agency in 2012 and determined tasks for 2013. He informed that for the beginning of 2013, 187 investment projects for the sum of 460 bln rubles were under development.
According to Linar Yakupov, the sum of direct foreign investments increased six times as much and made 577 mln dollars. The priority task for Tatarstan Investment Development Agency in 2013 is to increase this sum to 1 bln dollars.
Linar Yakupov said that 60 per cent of the sum accounted for the Special economic zone “Alabuga”, most attractive place in Tatarstan for major foreign investors.
Speaking about “Smart City” project, Chief executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency said that the expected amount of investments made 2,5 bln dollars.
The investment development program of the Republic of Tatarstan should be developed and approved in 2013, he continued.
Tatarstan’s Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov thanked all participants of the session and those who took part in the forum.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
