Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers and municipal regions sign agreements

Session of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers was held on February 28. Agreements between the Cabinet of Ministers and municipal regions on achieving planned assessment indicators of efficiency of local self-government activity for 2013-2015 have been signed. The session was held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.
At the beginning of the session Prime Minister focused on problems of housing and communal services.
Head of Tatarstan Government informed that a video conference meeting on issues of housing and communal services with participation of regions would be held afterwards.
Participants of the session signed agreements presupposing commitments of municipal regions on achieving planned indicators.
During the signing ceremony Ildar Khalikov mentioned changes in mechanism of efficiency of local self-government activity made on the federal level.
Tatarstan Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov spoke at the session. He said: “For the last few years Tatarstan has been ranked first among Russian regions according to indicators of activity efficiency and we should keep the same positions. Signing of agreements today is an important stage.”
Midkhat Shagiakhmetov stressed that increasing the share of small and medium-size business in economy was a priority area for republic. Thus, heads of municipalities should pay much attention to increasing business activity.
Agreements were signed by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and heads of municipal regions.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
