Rustam Minnikhanov: Kazakhstan colleagues can become familiar with republican projects in different spheres during their visit to Tatarstan

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Kazakhstan delegation led by Akim of West Kazakhstan region Nurlan Nogaev and Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Galym Orazbakov. The meeting was held at Tatarstan President’s Residence at the Kazan Kremlin.
To the point, Kazakhstan delegation is on a working visit in Kazan (March 11-13, 2013). Business forum with participation of Tatarstan and West Kazakhstan businessmen will be held during their visit (High Technology Technopark IT-park, Peterburgskaya str.). Economic and investment potential of Tatarstan and West Kazakhstan region will be presented at the event.
Rustam Minnikhanov met with Nurlan Nogaev and Galym Orazbakov in President’s office. Later on the same day an extended meeting was held in a conference hall.
Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We are glad to welcome you in Tatarstan. Being a Russian region, we appreciate relationships established between Russia and Kazakhstan. Today Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus represent a single economic space. Russian and Kazakhstan regions should enhance activity on exchanging experience, increasing trade turnover and establishment of new enterprises.”
Rustam Minnikhanov said that during the visit to Tatarstan Kazakhstan colleagues would become familiar with republican projects in different spheres including creation of infrastructure for small and medium-size business and innovative platforms, nanotechnologies and IT industry.
President of Tatarstan thanked Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Galym Orazbakov who helped to expand contacts.
Akim of West Kazakhstan region Nurlan Nogaev thanked for warm reception and said that this trip was made in order to fulfill the assignment of Kazakhstan President within the confines of expansion of migration processes, business and established relationships.
Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We are participants of a single economic space and we have to build up horizontal communication. Lately the number of business visits has increased. We have much in common with Kazakhstan. I think we would find a lot of interesting areas for cooperation.”
During the visit to Kazan members of Kazakhstan delegation will visit sports venues, High Technology Technopark IT-park, Kazan Federal University, Agro-industrial park and other objects.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
