Ildar Khalikov: “Implementation of major investment projects is not possible without rental housing”

At a meeting dedicated to formation of the market of affordable rental housing Tatarstan Prime Minster Ildar Khalikov said that development of this market is an urgent need upon implementation of major investment projects.
The meeting was held by Russian Deputy Minister of Regional Development Sergey Darkin in Kazan. Representatives of regional authorities of the Volga Federal District, major building companies, banking structures participated in the event.
Opening the meeting, Russian Deputy Minister of Regional Development Sergey Darkin underlined importance of the discussed topic. He said that rental housing should be constructed both at the expense of budget and commercial funds.
According to Russian Deputy Minister of Regional Development, the Volga Federal District is the leader in terms of developing rental housing market. He continued that the whole regulatory framework should be developed and several pilot rental housing projects should be launched in 2013. Moreover, construction of rental housing is to be started in all federal entities in 2014-2015.
Ildar Khalikov thanked Russian Deputy Minister of Regional Development for initiative to discuss the issue.
Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Irek Faizullin told about Tatarstan’s experience in building rental housing.

On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
