On March 14 Microsoft presented package of the latest operating system Windows 8 in Tatar language at Kazan IT-park. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Acting President of Dagestan Republic Ramazan Abdulatipov, Microsoft Vice-President for Eastern and Central Europe Don Grantham, Microsoft President in Russia Nikolay Pryanishnikov, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov, participated in the event.
It is a free application available for users of licensed versions of Microsoft Windows 8. Now you can choose Tatar as the working language of the system. It is the fourth version of an operating system translated into Tatar language (after Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista и Microsoft Windows 7).
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan legalized relations with Microsoft in 2005. Tatarstan would be a pilot region to promote content and all new projects of Microsoft company.
Don Grantham said that Russian and Tatarstan markets are important for the company. “I am happy that our company brings latest solutions and innovations in Tatarstan for the good of 7 mln Tatars living in Russia and abroad, thus contributing to development of national language and culture,” he said.
Don Grantham continued: “Tatarstan has most creative head among subjects of the federation who encourages implementation of many projects. He is the most experienced head of parliament.”
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
