President of Tatarstan meets with Austrian Deputy Minister of Transport, Innovations and Technologies

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with Austrian Deputy Minister of Transport, Innovations and Technologies Andreas Reichhardt. Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Irek Faizullin, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Linar Yakupov participated in the meeting.
The Austrian delegation consists of employees of several Austrian companies.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed guests and told about advanced projects. According to Rustam Minnikhanov, favourable conditions were provided for foreign companies in Tatarstan. Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” is the most attractive platform for investors. 34 residents are already registered at SEZ “Alabuga”. Their announced amount of investments makes 3 bln dollars.
Tatarstan also participates in implementation of a major project aimed at construction of transport corridor “Europe-Western China”. Moreover, the innovative city “Innopolis” being constructed near Kazan may be interesting for Austrian businessmen.
President of Tatarstan said that republic is willing to cooperate with Austrian companies in various spheres.
Austrian Deputy Minister of Transport, Innovations and Technologies Andreas Reichhardt thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the meeting. He is sure that the current visit of Austrian delegation to Tatarstan will favour development of relationships between Tatarstan and Austria.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
