Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. The meeting took place in Ashkhabad in the Palace complex of Turkmenistan President “Oguzkhan”.
Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Ashkhabad today’s afternoon to participate in solemn opening of international conference “Nawruz – the holiday of peace and humanism”.
Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov welcomed Rustam Minnikhanov and said that Nowruz is a big holiday that was included in UNESCO non-material heritage list in 2009 and since then has been celebrated as the international holiday.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov continued that good bilateral relations had been established between Turkmenistan and Russia, including the Republic of Tatarstan.
“We have much in common with Tatarstan,- similar culture, language and traditions,” he said. Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for participation in solemn events dedicated to Nowruz holiday.
Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Turkmenistan President for invitation to visit the country and take part in Nowruz celebrations. He also conveyed greetings to Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that on March 19 Vladimir Putin visited Kazan in order to attend events dedicated to preparation for summer Universiade 2013.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that there are all opportunities for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan in economic, educational and cultural spheres.
Delegations of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Tadjikistan, Turkish Republic, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan will participate in Nawruz celebrations in Ashkhabad.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
