Rustam Minnikhanov: “We have no future without villages”

On March 23 President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov participated in a plenary session of 2nd All-Russia meeting of entrepreneurs of Tatar villages. Before the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov looked over the exposition at G.Kamal theatre. Different products and souvenirs of rural entrepreneurs were presented at the exhibition.
430 rural entrepreneurs from Tatarstan and 31 Russian regions gathered at the event. The first meeting of entrepreneurs of Tatar villages was held in Kazan on March 24-25 last year.
Main activities of the World Congress of Tatars are preservation and development of Tatar villages. In 2008 the executive committee of the Congress initiated foundation of All-Russia Association of Tatar villages. In 2010 it was reorganised into “Tatar villages of Russia”.
The organisation actively cooperates with rural entrepreneurs from different regions. Its priority activity is assistance to social, economic and spiritual development of Tatar villages in Russia, solution of problems connected with revival and preservation of national culture, education and rural life.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that All-Russia meeting of entrepreneurs is a good way for discussing problems and making decisions. He emphasized special role of rural lifestyle in preservation of culture, language and traditions of any nation. He believes that the future of rural areas depends on activity of entrepreneurs to a large extent.
Tatarstan President focused on the problem of Tatar language preservation. He suggested joining efforts of Tatars from different regions and making up a programme to be considered at the federal level.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, another urgent problem is preservation and studying of the history of Tatar villages.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
