Organisation of tourism in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk during Universiade discussed at Tatarstan Government House

Issues of rendering high-quality services to tourists in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk during Universiade have been discussed at a meeting at Tatarstan Government House held by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov on March 26.
Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Guardians of the Republican Foundation for Historical and Cultural Monuments Mintimer Shaimiev participated in the meeting.
Ildar Khalikov said that restoration of historical monuments in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk is very important. “For years there has not been such an initiative in Russia. We should do our best so that major efforts of people who organised this work and donated money to such a good cause do not go to waste,” he stressed.
According to Ildar Khalikov, Bolgar and Sviyazhsk should become tourist landmarks both in republic and the whole country. Universiade 2013 in Kazan will favour attraction of tourists.
Ildar Khalikov mentioned that 9000 sportsmen from 127 countries, 2000 referees, 5000 personnel will participate in student Games.
Deputy Minister of Youth, Sport and Tourism Sergei Ivanov said that the number of tourists in Bolgar increased by160 per cent, and by 254 per cent in Sviyazhsk. A considerable increase in tourist flow is expected during Universiade.
Prime Minister required from Tatarstan Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism to work out functioning of all services in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk at maximum capacity rate. Ildar Khalikov also called for involving students of field-specific higher educational institutions to work as guides.
Participants of the meeting also discussed rendering of transport services to tourists during Universiade, organisation of entertainment programme for guests coming to Bolgar and Sviyazhsk.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
