President of Tatarstan inspects second construction stage of OAO “TANECO”

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited oil refinery complex OAO “TANECO” and Nizhnekamsk heat power station. He inspected construction of Integrated Hydrocracking Unit.
Heads of contract organisations reported on workflow at first start cycle. About 3,5 thousand people are currently working at the object.
To the point, within the framework of second construction stage of oil refinery complex Tatneft continues building Integrated Hydrocracking Unit. Up to 2,9 mln tons of vacuum gas oil per year for generation of Euro 5 fuel will be refined here.
The President saw several main objects with high level of readiness.
At construction site of Nizhnekamsk heat power station the project of fundamental reconstruction of the station was presented to Rustam Minnikhanov. As a result, electric power of the station will increase by 350 megawatt.
Under the second modernization stage of heat power station coke generated upon advanced refining will be used as fuel. This will provide integration of Nizhnekamsk heat power station with TANECO and realization of the strategy of closed cycle. The most advanced technology that meets European ecological standards will be used hereby.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that the project was quite interesting and noted its technological connection with further development of OAO “TANECO”. Another advantage is release of huge amount of natural gas that will be used for developing Nizhnekamsk industrial district.
Later on the same day Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with Director General of OJSC “Tatneft” Shafagat Takhautdinov, Head of Nizhnekamsk Aidar Metshin, representatives of project participants, heads of several ministries and agencies.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
