President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has arrived in the Netherlands with official Russian delegation to participate in opening of the Year of Russia in the Netherlands and the Year of the Netherlands in Russia. The opening ceremony will be held today with participation of President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.
The event will be held in Hermitage on the Amstel (Amsterdam).
The agreement about announcing 2013 the Year of Russia in the Netherlands and the Year of the Netherlands in Russia was made in 2009. An organizing committee comprised of representatives of Russia and the Netherlands was established for preparation and holding of the event.
Within the framework of the event countries will exchange official visits on a higher level, economic delegations, and hold a number of cultural and social events.
As for the Republic of Tatarstan as one of Russian regions, a performance of M.Dhzalil Tatar academic state opera and ballet theatre will be held in Rotterdam in April within the framework of the Year of the Netherlands in Russia. In August 2013 representatives of Tatarstan will take part in annual Festival of national culture “Constellation of Russia” in the Netherlands.
A Dutch accordion duo “Toeac” will perform in June 2013 in Kazan. From September to November the exhibition “Return of Dutch orientalist Marius Bauer to Moscow” will be organized in State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
A solemn closing ceremony of the Year of the Netherlands in Russia will be held in Moscow in November 2013.
On 14 February, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of the Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed that 561 courtyards are to be improve within the Our Yard programme in the republic in 2026.
In his address on the occasion of the Russian Science Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated scientists, researchers and lecturers of the republic with the event and wrote: “Science has always been and remains one of the main driving forces of progress and foundation for the development of economy, social sphere and education. Due to your talent, work and dedication to your vocation Tatarstan occupies the leading positions in many scientific spheres starting from petrochemical and IT technologies to biotechnologies and materials engineering. Today, based on glorious traditions of Russian and Tatarstan scientists, you are making a substantial contribution into ensuring scientific and technological sovereignty of Russia and solve the most important tasks of import replacement, digitalization and sustainable development.
On February 3, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of opening XXI All-Russia competitions in fire-rescue sports for the Cup of the Tatarstan Prime Minister, held in the gym of the Chief Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for Tatarstan with participation of 21 teams from various regions of Russia - a total of about 430 people.
On 31 January, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin reported that capital overhaul of nine school in eight municipalities of the republic has started.
