Rustam Minnikhanov: Main task of Tatarstan and South Moravian Region is to open opportunities for business communication

On April 16 President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Governor of South Moravian Region of Czech Republic Mikhail Gashek. The meeting was held at governor’s administration in Brno city.
Mikhail Gashek welcomed guests and said that he was glad because of good relations established with a number of Russian regions.
“There is a wide range of strategic companies in our region that are interested in cooperation with Russia. Russian investors come to our region and become a part of our economy. We have a great industrial history, especially in the sphere of electrical industry and engineering. For the last ten years we have focused on research activity and innovations. Due to cooperation of universities and business entities offices of many international companies are located in our region,” Mikhail Gashek said.
Mikhail Gashek thanked members of Tatarstan delegation for interest expressed towards South Moravian Region.
“I am glad that you decided to visit our region during your trip to Czech Republic. That will be great if your visit gives impetus to further development of our relations. We offer cooperation in the sphere of higher educational institutions, innovations and high technologies,” he continued.
Mikhail Gashek also offered to consider an opportunity of opening the centre of Czech language in Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that South Moravian Region is a rapidly developing, innovative and investment-attractive region of Czech Republic. He continued that Tatarstan delegation had already visited two modern high-tech enterprises in South Moravian Region. He noted as well that Tatarstan had established business contacts with Honeywell and Siemens before.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
