Rustam Minnikhanov meets with President of AO “Kazakhstan railways” Askar Mamin and Vice-president of Barclays Capital Marc Holtzman

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov discussed prospects of cooperation with delegation of AO “Kazakhstan railways” led by the President Askar Mamin, Vice-president of Barclays Capital, Chairman of Meridian Capital Marc Holtzman.
The meeting was held at Tatarstan Government House. Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Irek Faizullin, employees of Tatarstan Ministry of Health participated in the meeting.
Participants of the meeting discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in development of airport activity, health care industry, construction of multi-purpose hotel complex.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that variants of public-private partnership for organization of private ambulance are being studied in Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov supposes that a multi-purpose hotel complex can be constructed in Kazan.
President of AO “Kazakhstan railways” Askar Mamin told about company’s development, and cooperation with OAO “Russian railways”.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
