Rustam Minnikhanov meets with Russian film director Aleksandr Sokurov

On April 21 President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with a Russian film director Aleksandr Sokurov. The meeting was held at Tatarstan Government House with participation of Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, Head of the Division of culture and development of Tatarstan people’s languages under Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Gulshat Nigmatullina. Issues of Russian cinema development and preservation of cultural heritage were discussed at the meeting.
Russian film director and People’s Artist of Russia Aleksandr Sokurov arrived in Kazan within the framework of a film show “Retrospective film show by Aleksandr Sokurov”. The event was initiated by the Fund of modern art, “Aurora 1991” gallery and the Fund of art, culture and education “Aleksandr” under the auspices of Tatarstan Ministry of Culture. Documentary and feature films were shown in Kazan on April 8-21.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
