Tatarstan population will be 5,3 percent up by 2020

Today the participants of the RT Cabinet Presidium meeting chaired by Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Government, approved the complex programme of the Republic of Tatarstan demographic development till 2010 and prospect of demographic development till 2030.
The decision on the development of the complex programme of Tatarstan demographic development till 2010 and prospect of demographic development till 2030 was made by the Security Concil of the Republic of Tatarstan in May 2006. Government customer of the programme designing organization – the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. The work was performed by the Center of Perspective Economic Researches of the Republic of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences.
The programme was designed to find maximally accurate definition for the most important problems of this sphere and to find the optimal way of their solving. The goal of the programme is the support of the extended reproduction of population through the implementing of the consecutive and effective state social and economic policy to rise the living standards of the population and minimize social differentiation.
The demographic problem is a complicated one and it includes a number of questions, such as physical culture and sport, security, culture of nutrition, Prime Minister noted in the beginning of the meeting. “The most important thing is the mentality of people. Every woman should gave birth to at least one baby. The main treasure of the country is its population”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.
The project was represented by Marat Safiullin, the Minister of Economy. The main task of demography is the rise of human potential quality, he said. According to the data given by M. Safiullin, today most people in Russia prefer not to have many children. “Having few children is considered to be the symbol of welfare”, he noted. “At the same time families with 3 or more children are mostly viewed in a negative way. We have to create such conditions for the large families that to have many chidren is respectable and advantageous”.
According to complex programme it is planned to implement 7 main projects: the reduction of deaths rate, the rise of marriages and reduction of divorces, stimulation of fertility, the development of the family institution, the programme of the population employment, migration policy and medical project.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
