Tatarstan President meets with Indonesian Vice-Minister of Industry

During the visit to Jakarta Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with First Vice-Minister of Industry of Indonesia Alex Retraubun.
Rustam Minnikhanov focused on most perspective areas of cooperation between Tatarstan and Indonesia and told about economic potential of Tatarstan. He said that Russia’s joining the WTO opens new opportunities for Tatarstan export companies, and Tatarstan leadership can provide favourable conditions for foreign investors.

Alex Retraubun told about Indonesia economy, including key industries such as production of food, metal, rubber, transport sector, and textile industry. Improvement of investment climate in the country is a priority task of Indonesian Government. The Government approved special programme of privileges for foreign investors.
Tatarstan President noted great economic potential of Indonesia and its attractiveness for Tatarstan companies.
Representatives of Gorky plant, Kazan helicopters plant, and OJSC “KAMAZ”, who also took part in the meeting, told about cooperation of their companies with Indonesia.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
