Charitable action “Help to prepare for school” is being passed in Tatarstan.

In September 34448 people will go to the first class in RT. State counselor on social questions under the RT President Tat’yana Larionova informed about it today at traditional briefing in RT Cabinet.
Last year there were 33551 first-formers in RT.
Tat’yana Larionova told journalists about charitable action which started in RT on 30, July. It’s aimed at helping children from low-income families, disabled children and others to prepare for school. Action “Help to prepare for school” is being passed in RT within the framework of Family Year.
There are 3 areas within the action framework: help to all first-formers form low-income families (RT Ministry of Education and Science supervise it), help to large families with 5 or more children (RT Ministry of Labour, Employment and social protection supervise it), area “Sport stars to children”, - provision of children with sport uniform for physical training (Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism supervise it).
For benefactors’ funds children will be presented with packed schoolbags. It’s meant that the action will not only concern first-formers but also other children from low-income, one-parent and large families.
According to the data of RT Ministry of Education and Science 5978 first-formers will receive charitable help this year, or 17,4% from the total number of children who will go to school for the first time.
As RT Deputy Minister of Education and Science Airat Zinnurov informed, 4681 first-formers are brought up in low-income families, 120 people in foster families, 275 – in tutors’ families, 1089 – in large families, 459 – in problem families, 212 – in families of disabled parents, 429 people are disabled.
Besides, as Airat Zinnurov noted 69 families live in republic where 5 or more children of school age are brought up. From 296 children, who live in large families of this category , 43 are future first-formers. Deputy Minister of RT Labour, Employment and social protection Nataliya Butaeva gave some additional information.
According to her words 20723 large families live in Tatarstan, 1046 people from this number have 5 or more children (5793 children are brought up in these families).

On 5 May, speaking at a regular meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that currently 63 school catering units are under repairs with the amount of work completed reaching 15 per cent.
On May 26, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held in a videoconference mode with participation of all municipal regions of Tatarstan and focused on events scheduled for June 1, International Children’s Day, as well as the implementation of the “Summer in Tatarstan” programme, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva appealed that parents should closely supervise their children during recreational activities near water in order to prevent accidents.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
