Winners of journalist contest “Crystal pen” awarded in Kazan

On May 17 awarding of winners of the main Tatarstan journalist contest “Crystal pen” was held at “Piramida” Cultural and Entertainment Complex.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan Journalist Union Rimma Ratnikova, Head of “Tatmedia” Press and Mass Media Agency Irek Minnakhmetov, Head of BBC World News representative office in Russia Sergey Stanovkin, Director of ANO “Sport broadcasting” Vasily Kiknadze, Russian simultaneous interpreter Maria Kiseleva, Deputy Director General of FGUP “VGTRK” Rifat Sabitov, Deputy Chief Editor of “RIA Novosti” Maxim Filimonov, Deputy Director General of IA “Interfax” Nikolay Kasyanov, Vice-President of the International Eurasian TV and Radio Academy Kipras Majeika, Head of printmedia centre, Professor of Media Industry Academy Aleksandr Tsyganenko and Director of ITAR-TASS PR Department Dmitry Korotkov were present at the event.
On behalf of Tatarstan President and personally Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov congratulated representatives of media industry on forthcoming Press Day and winners on their victory.
Ildar Khalikov said that the status of “Crystal pen” contest is very important for republican media agencies and given awards mean the highest achievement and result of their activity.
Irek Minnakhmetov congratulated colleagues on forthcoming holiday and wished successful implementation of the boldest projects and big creative achievements.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”
