Shipbuilding centre opens at Tupolev Kazan National Research University

On May 21 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, members of the Board of guardians, leadership and teachers of Tupolev Kazan National Research University took part in a solemn opening of the Shipbuilding centre.
Ildar Khalikov said that at all times aviation enterprises have established such centres, and Tatarstan is the region with highly skilled specialists. He also noted great contribution of Gorky Zelenodolsk plant to establishment of the centre.
Rector of Tupolev Kazan National Research University Albert Gilmutdinov said, in his turn, that a new age begins with opening of this centre. He also added that it is just the first stage of cooperation between Tupolev Kazan National Research University and the plant, and the university will render support to the plant in future.
After the opening ceremony Ildar Khalikov and other participants of the event visited laboratories.
To the point, the shipbuilding centre contains a computer class with a licensed ship design programme АVEVA Marine, ship structure class, technology site of Research Educational Centre “Innovative shipbuilding projects” for organisation of students' scientific research and creative projects.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
