RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov: “In Tatarstan from 92 representations of high schools only 34 are left, the appropriate work will be continued”

The Republic of Tatarstan considers the education system as the most important factor in formation of innovative economy. RT Prime Minister said about it today at traditional republic august conference of education workers.

The conference was held in Laishevsky municipal district with participation of RT President Mintimer Shaimiev, Minister of Education and Science of Russian Federation Andrey Fursenko, responsible employees of RT President Office, RT State Council, RT Cabinet, Heads of Ministries and Departments, territorial structures and federal state power bodies, heads of municipal institutions, pedagogical and scientific society.

The topic of the conference was “Qualitative education as the basis of competitive ability of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

In the beginning of conference Rustam Minnikhanov said : “we consider education system as the most important factor of formation of innovative economy of Tatarstan. Today qualitative education is the basis of stable development of society and state. Development of the best sides of domestic education system is the guarantee of dynamic development of economy, social stability and increase of population welfare.”
Rustam Minnikhanov noted the creation of 185 base secondary schools. More than 7 000 children from ungraded schools study there. For this purpose 186 buses were bought for republic and federal funds during last years.

Since 2007 normative mechanism of financing was started in secondary institutions. It allows following the principle “money follow the pupil”. Rustam Minnikhanov thinks that new branch system of labour payment of workers in budget sphere will allow assessing qualitative features of a teacher.

One more serious task is to provide real economic sector with personnel. 13 education clasters have been formed in republic. With active participation of business society 100 agreements on state-corporate cooperation in professional education will be realized. Institutions of higher education play a great role in activity of education clusters and training of personnel and specialists.

RT Prime Minister noted that with the help of RF Ministry of education and Science and personal support of Minister Andrey Fursenko the appropriate work was done.

“I’m sure that new mechanisms of financing and management, reforming of education system will lead to its qualitative development. It’s priority question in policy of the country.”, - Rustam Minnikhanov said.
