On 8 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who came to Tyulayaci municipality to take part in a reporting meeting of the Municipality Council, visited the Tyulyachi Industrial park, the construction site of a liquefied natural gas plant and accompanied by the Head of Tyulyachi Municipality Nazip Khazipov looked around the exhibition of local manufacturers.

In his report at the meeting, Khazipov told about current situation in the region, its social and economic development indexes and problems and prospects.

Speaking at the Meeting, Pesoshin said that he looked around the successfully working industrial ground of Tyulyachi “whose residents have already become budget-forming enterprises of the region, and got acquainted with the construction of a liquefied natural gas plant. The opening of new productions helps to create new jobs, raise the income level of residents and strengthen economy and the tax base of the region”.

Speaking about the social support, Pesoshin said that in 2021 residents of the municipality received 68.9m roubles of social support including 68.8m from the budget of the republic and 52 000 roubles from the Pension Fund.

“Salaries are the main source of income of people and your region with the average salary of 29 800 roubles ranks only 44th among cities and regions of the republic while Tatarstan is the second in this respect among other regions of the Volga Federal district”, - he said.

Pesoshin went on: “Issues of birth rate, support of young families and those with many children must be a priority for the region administration, however there is a natural population loss of 73 people registered in your municipality with only 131 babies born last year”.

“The Gross Regional Product of the region made 7bn roubles in 2021 ranking it 39th among other cities and regions of Tatarstan”, Pesoshin said and added: “Last year industrial enterprises of the region supplied 3.74bn roubles of produce and its IPI made 108.1 per cent”.

As far as agribusiness is concerned the Tyulyachi region ranks 25th among other regions of the republic even though it has a sufficient potential for improving its performance, Tatarstan Prime Minister said, - “ and the new August-Tyulyachi agribusiness company should promote positive changes. We hope that in the nearest future it will build a new dairy complex in the region which will substantially improve the situation in cattle breeding here”.

Touching the issue of SMEs, Pesoshin said that the share of SMEs in the GTP of the region was 43.4 % that makes it second in the republic after Baltasi region.

The region is second in the SMEs turnover per capita and 11th in the number of employed at these enterprises with the efficiently working industrial park of Tyulyachi. At the same time part of the park is still unused and it is necessary to attract all reserves and conditions for organizing business, Pesoshin noted.

The region should also step up work to support small farms and take part in state programs of supporting small farms and cooperatives, he concluded.

Touching upon issues of healthcare, Tatarstan Prime Minister said: “Considerable work was done in your region in healthcare modernization, Last year a modular feldsher-midwife station was built in the village of Sharmashi and one more will be built in Alan this year. The overhaul of the central regional hospital is also underway. However the administration of the region together with the Tatarstan Healthcare Ministry must find solutions to attract medical doctors to the region”.
