Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director of Federal Security Service Aleksandr Bortnikov take part in Sabantui celebrations in Laishevo region

On June 7 heads of security and law enforcement services of foreign countries – partners of the Russian Federal Security Service, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director of Federal Security Service Aleksandr Bortnikov took part in Sabantui celebrations in Laishevo region.
The guests looked over the exposition “Village of masters” with souvenirs made of leather, wood and silver, and saw performances of different teams.
Mikhail Afanasiev, Head of Laishevo region, welcomed guests saying that Sabantui is held every year after spring field works and is one of the most favourite holidays of Tatarstan citizens.
Mikhail Afanasiev thanked agricultural workers for successful work and congratulated everyone on Sabantui holiday.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, welcomed heads of security and law enforcement services of foreign countries noting that guests from 60 countries were taking part in the event.
Nowadays Sabantui is celebrated in 53 entities of the Russian Federation and 23 countries all over the world, Rustam Minnikhanov continued. He also presented state awards to some dwellers of Laishevo region.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
