On February 16, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov arrived on a working visit in Chistopol municipal region to take part a reporting meeting of the regional Council.
During the visit, Shaykhutdinov got acquainted with the activities of Vostok Watch Factory in Chistopol, as well as with the exhibition of achievements of local enterprises - Chistopol branch of the Zelenodolsk Milk Processing Plant, brewery, bakery, residents of Chistopol Priority Social and Economic Development Area, training and production enterprise «Reglan» and self-employed.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the republic was informed about digital technologies to be used in teaching children in kindergartens, schools and institutions of secondary and higher professional education.
Accompanied by the Director General of Vector radio company Victor Klassen, Shaykhutdinov visited a modern mobile telemedicine complex with artificial medical intelligence. The complex is equipped with a modern fluorograph that can be used to conduct research necessary for efficient mass screening of public health.
Head of Chistopol municipal region Dmitry Ivanov reported on the current situation, socio-economic indicators, problems and prospects.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of the republic emphasized the improvement of economic indicators of the region. For example, the gross territorial product made 24.7 bln roubles in 2021 with a growth rate of 106.1 per cent. Investment in the economy of the region made 5.5 bln roubles. A large increase is registered in the number of goods shipped: with an estimate of 13.9 bln roubles in 2021, the enterprises of the region managed to ship products amounting to 19.5 bln roubles, the growth rate made 146 per cent.
In 2021, in the ranking of the socio-economic development of municipalities of the republic with the centre - a city of regional significance, the Chistopol region ranked 11, which is 3 positions higher than in 2020. In the total rating of municipalities of the republic, the region ranks 29, which makes two points higher than the level of 2020.
Shaykhutdinov also drew attention to the increase in investment in fixed assets in the region (according to estimates, for 2021 the amount is 5.5 billion rubles, which is 400 million rubles more compared to that last year, which made 5.1 billion roubles. ), as well as an increase in the share of innovative industries in the total volume of industrial production from 1.4 in 2020 to 1.5 in 2021. The speaker emphasized that the development of new industries and small and medium-sized enterprises remains a pressing issue for the region. The status of the city as the Priority Social and Economic Development Area with tax concessions for companies, large industrial sites and parks will certainly contribute to this.
Shaykhutdinov continued that in 2021 Tatarstan implemented 44 regional programmes, 12 federal projects, 6 state programmes, as well as extra-programme measures amounting to more than 96 billion roubles. “It is gratifying that under the implementation of regional programmes, all planned major repairs and construction works have been completed in the Chistopol region. In 2022, the region’s leadership needs to remain active in this area”, he said.
