Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Petroleum and Gas Extracting Administration (NGDU) “Prikamneft” on 50-anniversary.

Yesterday on August, 22 RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov took part in celebrations devoted to 50-anniversary of NGDU “Prikamneft” which took place in Elabuga.

Elabuzhsky aggregated oil field was founded in 1958 for development of rich oil reserves in Prikamye. NGDU “Prikamneft” was created on its basis. Today the company is one of the largest branches of “Tatneft” JSC.

Tatarstan Prime Minister congratulated oil industry workers on such an important event on behalf of republic management.
“Opening of oil field here in the center of Tataria in 1950-s was a new period in the history of ancient Elabuga”, - noted Rustam Minnikhanov.

According to his words, from 1959 till 1965 serious tasks were set for oil industry workers in Tataria, - to provide 40 % increase of oil production that was planned in the country. In 1965 oil production in republic had to increase 2, 3 times in comparison with 1958, production of associated gas – 3, 8 times.

The history of domestic oil industry has never known such growth rates. “Tatarstan oil industry workers successfully coped with the task”.

According to RT Government Head the volume of oil production in republic increased for 28.6 million tones in 1958, in 1965 – for 76, 5 million tones. To a large extent, it was done due to the workers of NGDU “Prikamneft”.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that in contrast to other administrations of “Tatneft” the 10th part of boreholes fund in NGDU “Prikamneft” is located in water area of Nizhnekamsk water basin at a specially guarded territory of national park “Nizhnyaya Kama”. The trade mark of NGDU is hydraulic facilities – “horseshoe” dams going into the mirror-like surface of Kama River from 2 coasts.

Oilmen carry on the production in such extraordinary conditions following the main demands of nature protection legislation.

“The degree of wastes utilization in NGDU is 97 %. It’s the highest rate among all NGDU in the country” - Rustam Minnikhanov pointed out.

RT Government Head noted that with the development of oil and gas production the image of Elabuga and settlements of Prikamye has changed. On behalf of Republic management he emphasized the contribution of oilmen into development of social and cultural spheres of the region. “I congratulate everyone on such a significant anniversary! I wish you health, welfare and new achievements for the sake of Tatarstan and Russia”, - Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated oil industry workers.

The best workers of NGDU “Prikamneft” were presented with medals in honour of production of 3-bilion tone of oil in Tatarstan, letters of gratitude on behalf of RT President and RT Prime Minister.

General Director of “Tatneft” JSC Shafagat Takhautdinov underlined good traditions of NGDU “Prikamneft” oilmen. According to his words for 50-year history they produced more than 150 million tones of oil. Nowadays more than 2 million tones of oil are produced per year. “High responsibility and the skill to find the decisions of the most difficult problems have always characterized the oilmen of Prikamye.” – noted Shafagat Takhautdinov.

According to him, for 1000-anniversary of Elabuga scaled social projects were realized – Ice Palace, track and field manege; the Prospectus of oilmen has been renewed. General Director of “Tatneft” thanked veterans and workers of NGDU “Prikamneft” for self-sacrificing and constructive labour.

“Elabuga was being built by oil industry workers who took the lead in many beginnings of our city”, - the Head of Elabuzhsky municipal district Ilshat Gafurov emphasized in his speech.
