On March 26, speaking at a videoconference in the Government House of the republic held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of all municipal regions of the republic, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov said that in the republic, the volume of essential goods at distribution centres is sufficient to meet the demand of the population.
He also said that monitoring of the situation in retail sales of durable commodities, as well as daily operational monitoring of availability and prices in pharmacy chains, continues in the republic. Trade enterprises are provided with essential goods and the work of marketplaces continues as usual, orders are fulfilled as before. The range of products is sufficient.
The current labour market situation in the region is also stable. To ensure the smooth operation of enterprises, today the import substitution is the most important, the minister emphasized. To address this issue, the import substitution platform at the Regional Marketing Centre has been improved.
Weekly monitoring and evaluation of the financial and economic situation of the regional backbone organizations continues in the republic.
The Ministry of Economy of the republic developed an Action Plan to promote the implementation of investment projects implemented in Tatarstan, and an interactive form of data collection. An inventory of priority investment projects; organization of interaction with enterprises on the implementation of projects; ranking projects by stages of implementation were conducted.
The head of the Ministry of Economy said that representatives of credit organizations held a meeting with representatives of the Prosecutor’s office of Tatarstan, the Commissioner for the Protection of the Entrepreneurs’ Rights under the President of the republic and the Head of the National Bank of Tatarstan, where they discussed measures to support entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to restructure loans under intrabank programmes. Currently, 548 applications have been submitted, including 168 applications that have been approved. Separately, he focused on preferential lending programmes for agricultural producers (the programme is implemented by Russian Government). Thus, agricultural producers of the republic submitted 75 applications for the amount of 3,949.9 million roubles, of which 48 applications were approved. At the federal level, there are a number of preferential lending programmes for Corporation of SMEs, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
