On June 16 during his working trip to Kazakhstan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with activists of ethnocultural public associations in Almaty.
The meeting was held within the framework of Sabantui celebrations that took place in one of the world’s best ski complexes “Sunkar”.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Almaty Akhmetzhan Esimov visited celebrations and held an official meeting afterwards.
Akhmetzhan Esimov welcomed Tatarstan delegation and thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for attention paid to Almaty delegation during their recent visit to Kazan.
“Cooperation between our regions is intensively developing. Your experience in the sphere of innovations and IT is useful for us,” Akhmetzhan Esimov said.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in his turn, thanked Akhmetzhan Esimov for warm reception. He noted that Tatarstan can adopt Kazakhstan experience in urban development.
Later on the same day, Rustam Minnikhanov met with activists of ethnocultural Tatar public associations and thanked them for work on preserving culture, language and traditions of Tatar people.
Rustam Minnikhanov continued that Sabantui holiday that is celebrated in 55 regions and 23 countries is a good way to maintain identity of Tatar nation around the world.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
