Speaking at a regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin has said that even though the Covid-19 incidence rate decreased by 13 per cent in the republic in the last week, the preventive measures are still important.
The head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) Department in Tatarstan Marina Patyashina reported that the incidence continued dropping in March with 21 865 cases registered which was three times fewer than in February.
She said that nevertheless the decrease practically stopped today and because of this limitation measures, including wearing masks, are still in force. Moreover because of the prevalence of the new Omicron-stealth strain and the quick rise of incidence in Europe and Asia, the growth of incidence cannot be ruled out in Russia, including our republic, Patyashina said.
The decrease of incidence rate in the country in the whole made it possible to lift some limitations for children facilities, such as a medical clearance to attend schools after contacting a person sick with Covid and flexible school time table. It is permitted to organize mass events in the open air and the children’s camps can again have 100 per cent places occupied, she concluded.
Aleksey Pesoshin said that despite the decrease of the incidence rate, all work teams and educational institutions should continue following strict sanitation and epidemic prevention requirements, including wearing masks in public places and transport.
