Tatarstan oncologist Rafkat Taziev awarded with title “Doctor of the year”

On June 18 the Ceremony of awarding Tatarstan doctors, winners of the republican contest “Doctor of the year” was held at Universiade International Information Centre.
Vice-Chairman of the Russian Government Olga Golodets, Russian Deputy Minister of Health Tatyana Yakovleva and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the ceremony.
Presenters at the ceremony were Elena Malysheva and actor Mikhail Volkonadsky. The event was opened by Tatarstan Minister of Health Airat Farrakhov who thanked colleagues for their work.
This year there were five nominations in the contest: “Best doctor in primary health care”, “Medical worker of the year”, “Unique case”, “Doctor of the year”, “Legend of health industry”.
Internet voting available on the official website of the Ministry of Health played an important role in choosing the winner.
Rafkat Taziev, the oncologist of Republican oncologic dispensary is the winner in main nomination “Doctor of the year-2013” this year. He has made a great contribution to developing surgery of esophageal cancer in Tatarstan and made 250 operations that helped to cure people and improve quality of their lives.
Olga Golodets and Rustam Minnikhanov presented the award to Rafkat Taziev.
All winners of the contest received grants to undertake internships in foreign hospitals.

On 1 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Russian Minister of Healthcare Mikhail Murashko introduced Ayrat Farrakhov, who was appointed the Acting Rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU) to its staff.
In his speech Mikhail Murashko emphasized that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country and said:”Ayrat (Zakievich) has been officially appointed the Acting Rector and I am sure that under his leadership the University will maintain the positions it has achieved and, of course, will continue its development.”

Leyla Fazleeva holds a meeting of the commission under the Rais of Tatarstan on the Russian language
On 31 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva hold a meeting of the Commission on the Russian language under the Rais of Tatarstan, which considered key issues of supporting and developing Russian language, including new educational initiatives and discussed programmes of popularization of Russian literature and activities to preserve the language heritage.

On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Azat Ziganshin informed that the regional central cleaning up action will be held in the republic on 25 April and clarified that the location of the national cleanup day will be announced later as the site will be chosen taking into account the opinions of Tatarstan residents.
On 28 March, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with participation of the regional and the Acting Chairman of the State Council of the republic Marat Akhmetov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Damir Shaydullin informed about statistics on the collection of utility bills payments from the population and data on the payment discipline of enterprises and organizations of the republic.
