Rustam Minnikhanov meets with leaders of international IT companies

On June 20 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with representatives of international IT companies within the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Senior Vice President on Global Sales for IBM Corporation Bruno Di Leo discussed issues of participation in prospective projects which are currently being implemented in Tatarstan Republic.
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov told about a major federal project - Innopolis satellite-city. He noted as well that Tatarstan is interested in further development of IT industry to create own software products.
To the point, IT specialists will study at IT University that is being established in cooperation with Carnegie Mellon University (USA) at Innopolis satellite-city.
Later on the same day Tatarstan President met with Google Vice President of Emerging Markets Mohammad Gawdat.
Mohammad Gawdat informed that Google first regional programme would be launched in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov suggested implementing joint projects in the sphere of education, Internet safety for teenagers, Internet literacy for the elderly, etc.
At his meeting with Cisco executives Rustam Minnikhanov discussed issues of further joint cooperation.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
