Rustam Minnikhanov makes detour of Universiade venues

On June 23 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a detour of a number of sports and transport objects of the World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
Tatarstan President was accompanied by Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, Tatarstan Vice-Premier Asgat Safarov, Vice-Premier – Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov, Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Irek Faizullin, Tatarstan Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin, Tatarstan Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism Rafis Burganov, Head of Universiade Executive Office Vladimir Leonov.
Before making the detour the delegation passed through the security gates at the Volleyball Center. Rustam Minnikhanov looked over technical facilities at the security post and spoke to police officers. Then, Tatarstan President visited the Volleyball Center to check its readiness for the Universiade.
Tatarstan President also visited the Boxing and Table Tennis Centers.
Visiting the Gymnastics Palace, Rustam Minnikhanov assessed its sound quality. Tatarstan President suggested using the Palace for holding forums after the Universiade.
Later on, Rustam Minnikhanov looked over training and competition courts at the Tennis Academy and went to see the Rowing Center.
Tatarstan President also visited the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda, the Millennium Square, the Central and Rubin Stadiums and KAI-Olymp sports complex to inspect the reconstruction process.
By visiting the site for beach volleyball competitions near the Aquatics Palace Tatarstan President finished his detour.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
