By 2020 Tatarstan is to have the amount of commissioned housing at the rate of 1 m² per person

On June 30 at a republican meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov the Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services Irek Faizullin said that the federal centre had set the task to provide the amount of commissioned housing at the rate of 1 m² per person by 2020.
The meeting was traditionally held in a video conference format and broadcast online (www.prav.tatarstan.ru).
According to Irek Faizullin, 3 mln m² of housing will be constructed in republic by 2016. As for June 29, 1 mln 157,5 thousand m² of housing have been built in Tatarstan.
By results of the first six months, 25 municipalities have fulfilled 50 per cent of the plan.
Within the framework of the programme aimed at improvement of veterans’ living conditions, 5 houses with total area of 4 thousand 205 m² have been commissioned in Tatarstan within the last two weeks. 102 houses are under construction.
Head of the Department for Construction, Transport, Housing-Communal and Roads Services Ildar Sibgatullin reported on construction of village clubs in 2013. By and large, 46 village clubs are to be constructed this year. Besides, work on arranging multipurpose centres for rendering state and municipal services is underway.
Director of the State Housing Fund Talgat Abdullin told about implementation of the social mortgage programme.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
