On July 19, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a strategic session on the development of the transport sector held by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The Russian Prime Minister emphasized that increased external restrictions affected civil aviation, maritime, road and rail transport. Under the priority action plan, assistance in the amount of 511.5 billion roubles is provided, including more than 120 billion for aviation support.
Due to these and other measures, the impact of sanctions on the industry as a whole has been reduced. According to the results of the first 5 months of the year, the dynamics of freight turnover in annual terms remained in the green zone, showing an increase of almost 2 per cent.
He also noted the importance of developing own production in the transport sector.
Russian Prime Minister said that it is necessary to continue active work under the Transport Strategy, namely “to fulfill the obligations to ensure mobility, increase accessibility and connectivity of the territories of our large country”.
