Marat Akhmetov: Tatarstan is about to reach the critical point due to heat and drought on fields

At a traditional regional meeting in Kazan Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov said that Tatarstan is about to reach the critical point due to heat and drought on fields. He added that the situation is becoming worse.
“Regions must organize all necessary work. The whole republic is about to reach the critical point due to unfavourable weather conditions. We can face abnormal growth and early ripening of grain because of high temperatures and drought. Besides, abnormal temperatures caused the spread of locusts, and their number is increasing. Another urgent problem is forage procurement,” Marat Akhmetov noted.
As for dairy farming, milk production started decreasing two weeks earlier than usually.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov asked all municipal heads to pay serious attention to the issue forage procurement, and use all opportunities to provide the industry with local forage.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
