On July 5 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in opening of new Marriage Registration Palace - Family Centre “Kazan”.
The building was constructed on the right bank of the Kazanka River. It was designed by a famous artist and sculptor Dashi Namdakov. Total area of the building makes 6200 m ². There are rooms for groom and bride, wedding reception halls, a sightseeing platform with area of 1200 m ². There is a square and embankment area nearby. The building was constructed for one year and a half. First marriage registration ceremonies were held here today.
Up to 100 ceremonies can be held in the palace every day. 27 couples have registered their marriage today in honour of 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin congratulated newly married couples on holiday, wished them happiness and wellbeing. He thanked Tatarstan leadership for such a present to the city.
Married couples who had lived together for more than 60 years were honoured at the ceremony.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
