On August 23, speaking at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan, the curator of programmes for the development of the urban environment in the republic Nailya Zinnatullina said that for five years Tatarstan won over 2.5 billion roubles for the development of public spaces by participating in the All-Russian competition of small cities and historical settlements.
“We have been participating in the contest since 2018, from the very beginning. For the entire period of participation in the contest, the republic received more than 2.5 billion roubles for the development of the urban environment. These are 38 winning cities,” she said.
Zinnatullina emphasized that this year Tatarstan won a federal grant amounting to 510 million roubles. They won six of the seven applications submitted by the republic. In particular, for the implementation of projects Yelabuga, Zelenodolsk and Leninogorsk received 95 million roubles each, Zainsk received 85 million roubles, Laishevo and Bolgar got 70 million each.
Projects should be implemented in 2023 and 2024.
Following the results of this year’s work, the specialists of the Foundation «Institute of Urban Development of the Republic of Tatarstan» developed a methodical manual for architects and colleagues from other regions.
