Rustam Minnikhanov visits memorial complex on anniversary of Bulgaria shipwreck

On July 10 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Aleksandr Chupriyan visited the memorial complex in Kamsko-Ustinsky region (Tatarstan). Relatives of the victims gathered on the Volga riverside.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers at the memorial complex.

“Two years have passed since that tragic day when we lost 122 people. It is a great loss for our country and republic. I express my deepest condolences,” he addressed the audience.

Rustam Minnikhanov also conveyed condolences on behalf of Russian Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov.

Tatarstan President suggested honouring the memory of the lost by a minute’s silence.
