On 13 September, speaking at a briefing with all regional municipalities at the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov said that Russian Minister of Agriculture is planning to allocate additional 679m roubles to the republic, including 658m for subsidizing the encashed grain and 21 m for stimulating production of vegetable oil plants.
“Taking into consideration the demand in soft loans programme, the remaining subsidies make it possible to cover the demand of our farmers in loans and to attract no less that 12bn roubles of loans”, he said.
Zyabbarov said that Russian Government decided to allocate more than 1.3bn roubles to subsidize farmers for the encashed grain as every year during the grain harvest there is a low sell-in grain price that however starts growing after grain is put to storage. “This situation is typical for all regions of the country”, the Minister said.
Participation in purchasing interventions of the state grain bank can be an additional option for regulating the price policy and Tatarstan is presupposed to purchase 300 thousand tonnes of grain, Zyabbarov told.
He also informed that in the current year the republic has increased the threshing yield of grain compared to that last year and as of today 5.2m tonnes of grain have been threshed already.
The Minister also said that the republic has harvested 1.4m hectares, which makes 98 per cent of the harvest campaign.
