At its 34th session Tatarstan State Council has approved the appointment of Yevgeniy Varakin, who was recommended by the President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov, to the position of Deputy Prime Minister of the republic.
Introducing Varakin, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin said: “At this position Yevgeniy Anatolyevich will be directly responsible for development of business and cultural relations of the regional government with state power bodies and organizations of Russian regions”.
He underlined that Varakin is very experienced in practical and organizational work in local self -government bodies, being responsible for many issues related to Housing and Utilities Sector, public improvements, trade and residential services, and explained that he was not able to present at the session in person as he is in the long-term business trip.
Rustam Minnikhanov asked members of the Council to support the candidate who “is on a combat duty”. “By the decree of Russian President we are responsible for Lisichansk and our colleague is fulfilling tasks which we should solve on this territory. Healthcare workers have already fulfilled theirs, construction workers are getting ready. We need a skillful and experience person who on behalf of Tatarstan will fulfill tasks on the territory we are responsible for. We will go there and provide support”, Tatarstan President clarified.
