Rustam Minnikhanov and Mikhail Babich present awards to Universiade tennis tournament winners

On July 16 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich visited mixed doubles tennis tournament final held within the framework of Universiade in Kazan.

President of Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpischev, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, Head of Universiade Directorate Vladimir Leonov also watched the match.

The Russian duo (Elena Vesnina/Andrey Kuznetsov) and the Japanese duo (Hiroko Kuwata/Shota Tagawa) competed in the mixed doubles final match. The Russians beat Japanese duo in three sets and won gold.

The Swiss and Taiwan duos won bronze in mixed doubles.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich presented medals and flowers to the champions.
